A study published in the Children's Health Care journal revealed that children tend to be the least healthy, in the hour after they come home from child care.
The children in the study consumed an average of 290.2 calories during that hour — 20 percent their daily intake and about 22 percent of the day's sugar intake.
For more on this, KCBS Radio's Bret Burkhart and Patti Reising were joined by Kristen Copeland MD, general pediatrician and child health researcher at Cincinnati Children's.
